I had an idea for this shot and somehow it came together perfectly. In taking a 30 second exposure, you have to time it correctly to get all the elements working together. For this picture that meant waiting for traffic to be flowing in both directions and getting lucky that someone came up the exit ramp. In the end, this is one of my best pictures and the vibrancy really speaks to me.
I shot this from the Congress bridge looking into Downtown Austin. I enhanced the colors to add to the already vivid reflections that came from the water. The scene is crisp and the colors are crazy and remind me of the 70s. The picture shows the life and fun that can be had in Austin.
This was a sunset at Hotel La Mariposa in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica.
